Saul Bass Google Doodle

In recognition of famed graphics and movie title designer Saul Bass's 93rd birthday, Google has posted a fantastic tribute on their homepage. Appropriately, the new Doodle is a motion graphics piece that pays tribute to many works in Bass's filmography, including Psycho, Anatomy of a Murder, Spartacus, North by Northwest, Vertigo, The Man with the Golden Arm, and West Side Story among others. Google's World Wide Maze

Google has just launched its latest in a long list of crazy mind-boggling innovations. World Wide Maze is an interactive game that can turn any website of your choosing into a playable, 3D maze (What?!). You control a marble that must zig and zag its way to the finish (by turning your smart phone), collecting crystals along the way and navigating the treacherous curves of the Google logo (or Facebook, or Tumblr, or Twitter, or whatever). The requirements? You must have Google Chrome installed on both your computer and smart phone and then sync the two. Then, download the (chrome.com/maze) and enjoy! Video below.

Grimm Google Doodle

I feel like I keep posting Google Doodles, but I can't help it... They keep churning them out really cool. Here's the one for the 200th anniversary of Grimm's Fairy Tales, illustrating the story of Little Red Riding Hood. The graphics are simple, yet expressive and a lot of fun. The artist's non-violent solution to the ending is also pretty funny.
